Got out with my Dad & Eric Neiman for a look around the peninsula and beyond. We worked from PV back to the Wall and inside/outside of HH for 6 fish all day. I racked up a Trifecta on the crank, but the 52-54 degree water and some residual swell made for a tough overall bite.  Always a fun time on the water with my Pops!

Got in a last minute session with Larry Posod the other night. It was the calm before the storm and the fish wanted to bite!  Big baits got the bites all night. The 7” Island Plastic swimbait in ‘Native’ on a 1oz WAR Baits Slayer Head in ‘SBK’ got my bites while Larry was putting in work on a ‘Blue Shad’ Big Hammer Sledgehammer on a 1oz WAR Slayer head in ‘Flagship’.  

10.29.11 - SCI Halloween Weekend

Halloween weekend greeted us with ideal weather conditions and an island without any closures. Larry Possod joined us for some Fall fishing at our favorite island. Each of us managed 5 - 7lb fish, but Randy was on FIRE from start to finish with some true giants. Glassy seas spoiled us with a WOT channel crossing back to LB in 100 minutes. This was a trip for the books.

FDBU places 1st in field of 60 boats for Round 5 of the 2011 SWBA Series with 35.68lbs of Calico Bass. This bag weight shatters the previous SWBA all time record of 31.77lbs. Prototype 8/0 hook War Baits Slayer Heads in Burnt matched with Big Hammer Sledgehammers in Toast & Red Calico Hunter got the bites.
