‎2.11.12 - SWBA Rd. 1 - NPHWe struggled throughout the day working hard for 2 keepers. Our bag went 2.41lbs and a 34th place finish in the standings. We have our work cutout for us, but we’re looking forward to the rest of the 2012 SWBA Series. Got in a last minute session with Larry Posod the other night. It was the calm before the storm and the fish wanted to bite!  Big baits got the bites all night. The 7” Island Plastic swimbait in ‘Native’ on a 1oz WAR Baits Slayer Head in ‘SBK’ got my bites while Larry was putting in work on a ‘Blue Shad’ Big Hammer Sledgehammer on a 1oz WAR Slayer head in ‘Flagship’.

1.7.12 - 1.8.12 The 2012 Offshore Challenge is a wrap! FDBU finished in 10th overall with 36.65lbs for 2 days of fishing. Day 1 was tremendously humbling when we brought in 10.97lbs, but we worked hard to make up for it on Day 2 with our biggest Offshore Challenge bag to date with 25.59lbs. 01.03.12 Got out to the Wall with Jin Kang on his 1650 Monark to check out the bite. We found 58 degree water and a surging West swell on the outside wall. Ended the night with 20 fish with the biggest going 4.5lbs. Texas Rigged Flukes & 1.5oz WAR Slayer Jigs in “SHADOW” & “DARK DAYZ” got the bites.

Got out with my Dad for a Christmas Eve local session and we found some BITERS! Fish were tight to the beach, “right where they should be”. Wind & Grind style fishing. Biggest went 8+ with a 6, 4s and more mixed in = 25lbs by 11am. Happy Holidays!
